I develop projects from concept to production; embedded systems, custom electronics, and purpose-built mobile & web applications, from Tasmania, Australia.
Real software solving real problems in Australian industries.
A complete valet parking management platform. Real-time session tracking, digital key management, QR ticketing, and customer-facing check-in; all in one system.
Harvest management for fruit farms. Picker onboarding via QR, live session tracking, daily payroll reports, and farm evacuation planning built for Tasmanian orchards.
Beyond my own projects, I contribute directly to the tools the community relies on every day.
Implemented HTTP library support directly into KiCad, enabling component databases to be served over a REST API rather than static files. This allows teams to connect KiCad to live component management systems; a feature now used by engineers and hobbiests worldwide.
An open source plugin that bridges InvenTree, a leading open source inventory management system, directly into KiCad's component browser. Engineers can search, filter, and place real components from their live parts inventory without leaving the schematic editor.
afkiwers/inventree_kicadThe Ness2Web PCB bridges a Ness D8X/D16X alarm panel to your local network over Wi-Fi, enabling home automation integration without modifying the panel itself. It pairs with a companion web application that provides a live dashboard for monitoring and controlling the alarm system from any browser. Both are designed and released freely for the community; full schematics, layout, firmware, and source code are on GitHub for anyone to build, modify, and improve.
From concept to production-ready project; hardware, firmware, and software, all under one roof.
End-to-end hardware product development for industrial, IoT, and consumer electronics. Schematic, layout, BOM, and manufacturing handoff.
Firmware development for ARM Cortex-M, RISC-V, and ESP32 platforms. Real-time systems, bootloaders, and protocol stacks.
Cross-platform mobile apps built with Flutter. Native performance, offline-first architecture, and clean UX.
Scalable Django and DRF backends with PostgreSQL, Redis, and WebSocket support. REST and real-time APIs that scale.
End-to-end hardware bring-up, signal integrity analysis, and compliance pre-testing so your project ships on time.
Connect your hardware to the cloud. MQTT, AMQP, and custom protocols. Device management, OTA updates, and dashboards.
Tasmania might be Australia's smallest state, but it punches well above its weight in agriculture, tourism, and engineering. I'm proud to be part of that story; building technology that helps Tasmanian businesses operate smarter.
From cherry orchards in the Huon Valley to valet operations in Hobart's CBD, my software is designed for the real conditions and real people of this island.
Have a hardware project or a software idea? I'd love to hear from you.
